The annual Siloam Springs Heritage Festival, sponsored by the Siloam Springs Museum, is a family-friendly summer celebration of history, community and traditional lifeways.
It takes place on the fourth Saturday of June in the historic downtown, in City Park and the adjacent Community Building. They are located at the intersection of University St. and North Mt. Olive Street.
This tradition began on June 24, 1880, when the founding of Siloam Springs was first celebrated. Yearly celebrations of the founding of Siloam Springs in late June came to be called "The Annual Picnic."
The Annual Picnic went through various ups and downs and eventually evolved into the Siloam Springs Heritage Festival.
In addition to great music and food, and vendors selling traditional and handmade items, visitors can enjoy a walking tour of the Historic Downtown, craft demonstrations, Living History performances, exhibits of historical items, heritage groups in historic garb and much more.
